Shed is an automaton; it is a process that runs until completion. Victory is decided more by the game than the player. Play a game and watch as you have a clear best decision on every turn only to find that using that action will destroy one of your friends. Come to the moral decision of either keeping to the order of the game all falling for human error and breaking the system. In truth, shed is the worst card game ever made.

Aim

The aim of shed is to remove all cards from your play area starting with cards in your hand, then the Sfaceup cards on the bottom, ending with the unrevealed cards at the bottom. 

Turn

Every turn you will play cards of the same numerical value by dragging them to the middle, (cards of the same value can be placed together by dragging one card over others in your hand) these then become the cards the next player must beat. Played cards must be of the same, or higher, value than the top middle card, the order goes; 

4 < 5 < 6 < 7 < 9 < J < Q < K < A < 2, 3, 8,10, Joker. 

Special Cards

2, 3, 8, 10, Joker and 4,7,9 are special cards and have activate effects when played (note 2,3,8,10 and Joker can be played on anything whereas 4,7,9 must be played in their respective order). The effects of these cards is listed below.

• 2 – Resets the value of the middle
• 3 – Reflects the value and effect of the last card played
• 4 – Player takes an extra go
• 7 – Next player must play 7 or under
• 9 – Next player cannot play special cards
• 8 – Reverses the play order
• 10 – Discards all cards in the middle
• Joker – Skips the next players turn

Swapping

At the start of the game the player is given three facedown bottom cards, three faceup cards and three hand cards, the hand cards can be swapped with the faceup cards by dragging them over.     

Other rules

• -If 4 or more cards of the same value are placed in the middle then discard the play pile and give the player who placed the cards an extra go
• -Playing multiple special cards will duplicate their effect for each played
• -9 is a special card so can’t be placed on a 9!
